Centofuochi is once again appreciated and awarded in the most important international wine competitions such as the Mundus Vini 2018.
The Mundus Vini was founded by Meininger Verlag fifteen years ago and is one of the most prestigious competitions in the wine world. The importance of this competition in Germany, but also throughout the world, is demonstrated by the more than 10,000 wines exhibited in 2016.
A qualified international jury composed of winemakers, winemakers, specialized retailers, sommeliers and journalists in the sector taste wines, sparkling wines and liqueur wines as part of an anonymous bottle tasting.
This event is held twice a year: in August, as a summer tasting (August), congenial to the autumn fairs and year-end activities, and as a spring tasting (in February) before the ProWein.
In the summer tasting the Centofuochi vintage 2014 was distinguished, winning the silver medal. It is a Primitivo di Manduria PDO, aged in barrique for 12 months and has hints of ripe fruit, figs and chocolate, accompanied by spices and licorice.
